WWE Survivor Series 2018 Predictions

This year’s Survivor Series has 2 dream matches that we’ve been wanting for a while, and a supposed WrestleMania main event a few months early. This is shaping up to be a pretty solid Survivor Series, and it’s good that WWE are trying to make the fans care about Survivor Series. Let’s see who will survive with my predictions for WWE Survivor Series 2018

Just like last year, for the elimination matches, I’ll be picking the winning team as well as the survivors.

Preshow: Tag Team 11 on 12 Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team RAW (Bobby Roode & Chad Gable, The Ascension, The B Team, The Revival, and the Lucha House Party) vs Team Smackdown Live (The Usos, The New Day, SAnitY, The Colóns, and Gallanderson)

Hey, SAnitY and Gallanderson are back! It’s good to see them back on TV, Gallanderson haven’t been on WWE TV since June 19, and SAnitY haven’t competed in a match since the tag team tournament on July 24, so this is good that they’re finally getting utilized. Other than New Day tweeting about this match, I’m not sure that this match would’ve gotten any build whatsoever. But since this match is on the preshow, the fans are going to care somewhat even less than they already do. I’m going to pick Team Smackdown Live to win this match, since they’ve got a much better tag division.

Prediction: Team Smackdown with the Usos and New Day as the Survivors

Cruiserweight Championship Match: Buddy Murphy (c) vs Mustafa Ali

Buddy Murphy winning the Cruiserweight title at Super Show-Down was one of the biggest pops of the year, and a great moment for the Aussie crowd. Rather than have Alexander cash in his rematch clause, Mustafa Ali will step up as Buddy Murphy’s first challenger as champion. I’m happy that this match isn’t on the preshow, and it should be a fun, flippy match. I’m going to pick Buddy Murphy to retain the Cruiserweight Championship, and establish a good, long title reign.

Prediction: Murphy Retains
Champion vs Champion: WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura

This is one of the biggest dream matches left in WWE, as The Architect takes on The King of Strong Style. There hasn’t been much build to this match, with the focus for Seth Rollins mainly being on the shocking heel turn of his former Shield Brother, Dean Ambrose. This is the first time Nakamura has been in some semblance of a storyline since he won the United States Championship, which he’s held for 126 days as of Survivor Series. I’m going to go with Shinsuke Nakamura to pick up the win, because Nakamura needs it more, and I believe that Dean Ambrose is going to get somehow involved, and cost Seth the match.

Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura

“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair

This match was speculated to be the main event of WrestleMania, but instead we’ll be getting it a few months early. After Becky Lynch broke her nose and suffered a concussion during her RAW invasion, Becky hand-picked Charlotte to take her place. At one point, this was the biggest money match WWE could book for Ronda, and it’s still going to be a great match because both women are fantastic in-ring competitors. I’m going to pick Charlotte to pick up the win, because we all thought Asuka was going to beat Charlotte, and look what happened. Plus, if anyone is going to beat Ronda Rousey, it might as well be Charlotte, who is one of the top women in the company.

Prediction: Charlotte

Champion vs Champion Match: RAW Tag Team Champions Authors of Pain (with Drake Maverick) vs Smackdown Live Tag Team Champions the Bar (with Big Show)

It took longer than expected, but The Authors of Pain are finally tag team champions, and should be on a killing spree and hold the titles forever. This is going to be a brutal, hard hitting affair Although The Bar are one of the better teams in the WWE, The Authors of Pain need to pick up the W here, to establish themselves as the new dominant force in WWE.

Prediction: Authors of Pain

Champion vs Champion Match: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs WWE Champion Daniel Bryan

Congratulations to AJ Styles, who has held the WWE Championship for 371 days, tying “Macho Man” Randy Savage for the eighth longest WWE Championship Reign of all time. Now, Daniel Bryan not only turned heel, but is the new WWE Champion. Wow. We get a dream match we never thought would happen, mainly due to Daniel Bryan and his history of neck and concussion issues. I’m a bit worried for Bryan, but this should be a great match nonetheless. This is going to be a David vs Goliath match, with Lesnar overwhelming D-Bry with his power, and Bryan fighting back with his precise strikes and submissions. I’m going to make the smart choice and pick the Beast, because he’s not going to lose after he murdered Braun Strowman in three and a half minutes.

Prediction: Lesnar Survives

Women’s 5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team RAW (Mickie James, Tamina, Nia Jax, Natalya, & Ruby Riott) vs Team Smackdown Live (, Carmella, Naomi, Sonya Deville, and Asuka)

At least this has some build, as the Smackdown Live Women’s division obliterated RAW, and Becky even locked in the DisarmHer on the former UFC Champion. Now, we don’t know who is going to be the last member of team Smackdown Live going into Sunday, which will probably be Mandy Rose or Lana. This women’s match doesn’t have as much star power, and the mystique of Asuka has all but died. Asuka will end up being the final member of her team, but this time the odds will be too great for the Empress of Tomorrow, as Team RAW picks up the win.

Prediction: Team RAW with Nia Jax and Natalya surviving

Men’s 5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team RAW (Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finn Bálor and Bobby Lashley) vs Team Smackdown Live (The Miz, Jeff Hardy, Shane McMahon, Rey Mysterio, and Samoa Joe)

The men’s match doesn’t have as many legends as last year, but this should still be a fun night. Thanks to Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Championship, The Miz is the sole captain of Team Smackdown Live, and replaced Bryan with Jeff Hardy. On Team RAW, Bobby Lashley was added as the final member of the team, so I guess he isn’t hurt after all. Both teams are loaded with talent, and this should be the match of the night. I’m going to go with Team RAW to pick up the W, and establish their dominance over the Blue Brand.

Prediction: Team RAW with Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre surviving
